Clear Terms and Conditions for Taekwon-Do Membership Dubai
Understand pricing, refunds, uniforms, and attendance rules for Emirates TKD. Clear terms to help parents enroll with confidence.
Program Overview
Welcome to Emirates TKD. Our Taekwon-Do program is designed to develop confidence, discipline, focus, and leadership skills through structured training. By registering for any program, parents and guardians agree to the terms outlined in this document, ensuring clarity, fairness, and consistency across all students and families.
All memberships operate on a monthly basis and provide access to scheduled classes based on the selected plan. Participation in classes implies acceptance of all operational, financial, and conduct policies defined herein. Emirates TKD reserves the right to update these terms when necessary to maintain quality of service and safety standards.
Our objective is to provide a structured, safe, and professional training environment. These terms are not only administrative but are part of maintaining a consistent learning experience for all students. Parents are encouraged to review them carefully before registration and contact the team if clarification is required.
By enrolling, you confirm your understanding of these terms and your commitment to supporting your child’s development through regular attendance and adherence to program guidelines.
Membership Fees
Membership fees are structured monthly based on the number of classes attended per week. The available plans are as follows: AED 379 for one class per week, AED 449 for two classes per week, and AED 549 for three classes per week.
All prices include VAT and cover access to scheduled classes within the selected plan. Exam fees are included in the monthly membership, meaning there are no additional charges for grading assessments when the student becomes eligible.
A sibling discount is applied to additional registrations within the same family. The highest-priced membership is considered the main registration, and subsequent enrollments may receive a discount at the discretion of Emirates TKD.
Membership fees are billed monthly and are not tied to the exact calendar month. Instead, each billing cycle runs from the date of registration to the same date in the following month. This ensures fairness regardless of when the student joins the program.
Emirates TKD reserves the right to adjust pricing with prior notice, although current active memberships will not be affected immediately by such changes.
Trial and Enrollment
All new students are eligible for one free trial class. This allows the student and parent to experience the program before committing to a membership and helps determine whether the program is the right fit.
If a student enrolls within 24 hours of attending the trial class, Emirates TKD will provide one free Taekwon-Do uniform as part of a promotional offer. This offer is available only to first-time registrations, is not transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be combined with other promotions unless expressly stated otherwise.
For students who enroll within the 24-hour registration period, the trial class date shall be considered the first day of training and the official commencement date of the membership. All membership periods, billing cycles, attendance records, grading eligibility periods, and related membership benefits shall be calculated from the date of the trial class, regardless of whether payment is completed later on the same day or within the 24-hour enrollment window.
If a student chooses to register more than 24 hours after attending the trial class, the free uniform promotion no longer applies and the standard uniform fee of AED 250 will be charged. In such cases, the membership commencement date, billing cycle, attendance tracking, and all related membership periods will begin on the date of registration and payment, not on the trial class date.
Enrollment is considered complete only upon receipt of payment. Emirates TKD reserves the right to limit class capacity to maintain quality and safety standards. Early registration is therefore recommended to secure the preferred class allocation and to remain eligible for promotional enrollment benefits.
Uniform and Equipment
The use of the official Taekwon-Do uniform is mandatory for all classes. Students will not be permitted to attend classes without proper uniform, except during the trial class.
Uniforms provided, whether free or purchased, are supplied based on available stock. Styles, materials, and fabric types may vary depending on inventory at the time of issuance. Emirates TKD does not guarantee specific uniform models or materials.
Additional uniforms can be purchased at AED 250 per set. Parents may choose to purchase extra uniforms for convenience, especially for students attending multiple weekly sessions.
Each student will also receive a digital belt. This belt is part of the Emirates TKD system and must be worn during every class. It is used for attendance tracking and links to the student’s digital certification records.
Replacement belts are available at a cost of AED 40. Maintaining proper uniform and equipment is part of the discipline expected from all students and contributes to a professional training environment.
Attendance and Exams
Regular attendance is essential for student progress. While exam fees are included in the membership, eligibility for grading is subject to minimum attendance requirements.
The required attendance varies depending on the student’s age group and current rank. Parents and students are advised to consult with the instructor to understand the specific requirements applicable to their level.
Missing classes may impact eligibility for exams and progression within the program. Emirates TKD does not guarantee grading opportunities if attendance requirements are not met.
Classes are scheduled in advance, and students are expected to attend consistently. Any long-term absence should be communicated to the academy to maintain proper records and guidance.
The structured progression system ensures that students develop skills progressively and safely. Exams are not only a technical assessment but also a measure of discipline, consistency, and readiness.
Refund and Billing
Membership fees are non-refundable once the billing cycle has started, except under specific conditions. Any approved refund will be calculated on a prorated basis from the start date of the membership to the date of the refund request.
A processing fee of AED 50 will be applied to all refunds. This fee covers administrative and payment processing costs.
Billing cycles run from the registration date to the same date in the following month. The payment date remains consistent regardless of class attendance or schedule variations.
If the trial class has been attended and registration follows, the membership period may be considered to start from the trial date. This ensures consistency in billing and program participation.
Refund requests must be submitted formally and will be reviewed by Emirates TKD management. The academy reserves the right to approve or decline requests based on the circumstances provided.
General Policies
Emirates TKD maintains a structured and disciplined environment. Students are expected to follow instructor guidance, respect classmates, and adhere to all academy rules at all times.
Parents are responsible for ensuring timely attendance and proper behavior of their children. Disruptive behavior may result in temporary or permanent suspension from classes without refund.
Class schedules, instructors, and venues may be adjusted when necessary. Emirates TKD will provide reasonable notice for any significant changes.
The academy is not liable for personal injuries, loss, or damage to personal belongings during classes, except where required by law. Parents are encouraged to ensure their children follow safety instructions at all times.
By enrolling in Emirates TKD, you acknowledge and accept all terms outlined above. These policies are designed to ensure fairness, consistency, and the highest quality experience for every student and family.
Membership Pauses and Class Recovery
Memberships may be temporarily paused in cases such as travel, school exams, medical conditions, or other exceptional circumstances, provided prior notice is given to Emirates Taekwon-Do before the absence. Members are entitled to one membership freeze per calendar year of up to forty-five (45) consecutive calendar days, subject to prior approval by Emirates Taekwon-Do. Any unused portion of the freeze period cannot be carried forward, accumulated, or converted into credit.
Pause requests are subject to approval and may require supporting information depending on the situation. In the case of short-term illness or occasional absence, students may recover missed classes by attending alternative available sessions within the same month, subject to class capacity. Recovery classes must be completed within the current billing cycle and cannot be carried forward to the next month. Make-up sessions are intended to maintain consistency and are not a substitute for regular attendance.
Multiple consecutive absences without notice may result in forfeited sessions. Emirates TKD reserves the right to limit recovery class availability to ensure quality and safety in all groups.
Registration Fee and Annual Membership Fee
All students are subject to a one-time Registration Fee of AED 350 and an Annual Membership Fee of AED 350. These fees contribute to the administration, student record management, membership processing, insurance and compliance requirements, grading administration, and the continued development of Emirates TKD programs and services.
As part of a promotional offer, the Registration Fee and Annual Membership Fee may be waived in full for eligible students at the time of enrollment. Such promotions are offered at the sole discretion of Emirates TKD and may be modified, withdrawn, or replaced at any time without prior notice.
Where a fee waiver has been granted, the waived amount has no cash value, cannot be transferred to another student, cannot be exchanged for alternative services, and cannot be applied as a credit against future membership, grading, equipment, uniforms, camps, events, or any other fees.
Annual Membership Fees, when applicable, are due upon initial enrollment and subsequently upon each annual renewal date. Registration Fees, when applicable, are charged once per student upon joining Emirates TKD and are non-refundable once enrollment has been completed.
Membership Fee Review
Emirates TKD is committed to maintaining the highest standards of instruction, facilities, equipment, technology, safety, and member services. In order to continue delivering quality programs and to respond to changes in operating costs, Emirates TKD conducts a fee review twice per calendar year.
Membership fees may be adjusted from time to time to reflect factors including, but not limited to, inflation, increases in venue rental costs, staff and instructor costs, utility expenses, insurance premiums, equipment and uniform costs, regulatory requirements, currency fluctuations, and other economic or operational factors beyond the control of Emirates TKD.
Any changes to membership fees will apply prospectively only and will not affect fees already paid for the current billing period. Members will be notified of any fee adjustments in advance through email, WhatsApp, the member portal, or other official communication channels. Continued participation in the program following the effective date of the revised fees shall constitute acceptance of the updated pricing.
Emirates TKD will make reasonable efforts to ensure that any fee adjustments remain fair, proportionate, and necessary to support the long-term sustainability, quality, and continued development of its programs and services.
