Effective 1 July 2026

Emirates TKD Membership Terms and Conditions

Understand our 28-day membership billing, pricing, uniforms, attendance, grading, refunds, pauses, renewals, and general participation rules before enrolling.

Effective Date and Transition

Effective Date: 1 July 2026.

These Terms and Conditions apply to all new memberships commencing on or after the Effective Date and to all existing memberships that renew on or after the Effective Date.

Any membership billing cycle beginning on or after 1 July 2026 will operate under Emirates TKD's recurring twenty-eight (28) day billing model. A membership that began before the Effective Date will continue under its existing paid billing period until its next renewal. At that renewal, the membership will transition automatically to a twenty-eight (28) day billing cycle.

These Terms and Conditions supersede previous versions from the Effective Date, subject to any rights already accrued during a billing period that began before that date.

Program Overview

Welcome to Emirates TKD. Our Taekwon-Do program is designed to develop confidence, discipline, focus, fitness, leadership, and technical ability through structured training.

By registering for a program, the student and, where applicable, the student's parent or guardian agree to these Terms and Conditions. Participation in classes also confirms acceptance of the applicable operational, financial, attendance, safety, and conduct policies.

All memberships operate on recurring twenty-eight (28) day billing cycles and provide access to scheduled classes according to the selected membership plan. Emirates TKD may update these terms when reasonably necessary to maintain service quality, safety, legal compliance, or sustainable operations.

Membership Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms:

  • Membership Commencement Date means the date on which the student's membership first begins under the Trial and Enrollment rules.
  • Billing Cycle means a period of twenty-eight (28) consecutive calendar days.
  • Renewal Date means the first day of each new Billing Cycle following the previous Billing Cycle.
  • Membership Plan means the selected number of scheduled classes available to the student each week.

Membership Fees

Membership fees are charged per recurring twenty-eight (28) day Billing Cycle according to the selected weekly training plan. The available plans are:

  • AED 379 for one class per week.
  • AED 449 for two classes per week.
  • AED 549 for three classes per week.

All stated prices include VAT. Exam fees are included in the membership fee, so no separate grading assessment fee is charged when the student becomes eligible to take an examination.

A sibling discount may be applied to additional students registered within the same family. The highest-priced membership will normally be treated as the main registration, with any discount applied to subsequent eligible registrations at the discretion of Emirates TKD.

Membership fees are billed every twenty-eight (28) days. Each Billing Cycle runs for twenty-eight consecutive calendar days and renews immediately after the previous cycle ends unless the membership is cancelled, paused, terminated, or otherwise adjusted in accordance with these Terms.

Billing is independent of calendar months. Because twenty-eight-day cycles repeat continuously, a membership will normally have thirteen (13) Billing Cycles during a standard calendar year.

Trial and Enrollment

New students are eligible for one free trial class to experience the program before committing to a membership.

If a student enrolls within twenty-four (24) hours after attending the trial class, Emirates TKD will provide one free Taekwon-Do uniform as a promotional benefit. The offer applies only to first-time registrations, is non-transferable, has no cash value, and cannot be combined with another promotion unless expressly confirmed.

When enrollment is completed within the twenty-four-hour period, the trial class date becomes the student's Membership Commencement Date and the first day of the initial twenty-eight (28) day Billing Cycle. Attendance records, grading eligibility, membership benefits, and related periods will be calculated from the trial date.

If registration occurs more than twenty-four hours after the trial, the free uniform promotion will no longer apply and the standard AED 250 uniform fee will be charged. In that case, the Membership Commencement Date will be the date on which registration and payment are completed.

Enrollment is complete only after payment has been received. Class places are subject to capacity and are not guaranteed until registration is completed.

Uniform and Equipment

The official Taekwon-Do uniform is mandatory for regular classes. A student may attend the initial trial class without a uniform.

Uniforms, whether free or purchased, are provided according to available stock. Styles, materials, sizing, and fabric may vary, and Emirates TKD does not guarantee a particular model.

Additional uniforms may be purchased for AED 250 per set. Each student will also receive a digital belt linked to attendance tracking and digital certification records. The digital belt must be worn during class. Replacement belts are available for AED 40.

Attendance and Examinations

Regular attendance is essential for safe and consistent progression. Although examination fees are included in the membership, grading eligibility remains subject to minimum attendance, technical readiness, conduct, age, rank, and instructor approval.

Attendance requirements may vary according to the student's age group, current rank, and program. Missing classes may delay examination eligibility or progression. Payment of membership fees does not guarantee promotion, examination participation, or advancement to the next rank.

Long-term absences should be communicated to Emirates TKD as early as possible so that attendance and training guidance can be managed appropriately.

Automatic Renewal and Cancellation

Unless cancelled or otherwise terminated, each membership automatically renews at the end of every twenty-eight (28) day Billing Cycle. The applicable membership fee becomes payable for the next cycle on the Renewal Date.

A member may cancel future renewal by submitting written notice through an approved Emirates TKD communication channel before the next Renewal Date. Cancellation prevents the next Billing Cycle from commencing but does not normally create an entitlement to a refund for a Billing Cycle that has already started.

Members remain responsible for any fees that became due before the cancellation took effect.

Refund and Billing

Membership fees are non-refundable once the applicable twenty-eight (28) day Billing Cycle has commenced, except where required by law or expressly approved by Emirates TKD.

Any approved refund may be calculated on a prorated basis from the start of the applicable Billing Cycle to the approved effective date of the refund. An administrative and payment processing fee of AED 50 will be deducted from any approved refund.

Refund requests must be submitted formally and will be reviewed by Emirates TKD management. Approval is not automatic and will depend on the circumstances, supporting information, services already provided, and applicable legal requirements.

Membership Pauses and Class Recovery

A membership may be paused for travel, school examinations, medical reasons, or other exceptional circumstances when prior notice is provided and the request is approved.

Each member is entitled to request one membership freeze per calendar year for up to forty-five (45) consecutive calendar days. Unused freeze days cannot be accumulated, transferred, exchanged for cash, or carried into a later year.

Supporting information may be requested. During short-term illness or occasional absence, students may request a make-up class in another suitable session, subject to availability and class capacity.

Make-up classes must be completed within the same twenty-eight (28) day Billing Cycle and cannot be carried forward into a subsequent Billing Cycle. Missed classes do not automatically create credits, extensions, refunds, or additional freeze entitlements.

Registration and Annual Membership Fees

Students are subject to a one-time Registration Fee of AED 350 and an Annual Membership Fee of AED 350. These fees support administration, student records, membership processing, insurance, compliance, grading administration, technology, and program development.

Emirates TKD may waive either fee as part of a promotion. A waiver is discretionary, has no cash value, cannot be transferred, and cannot be exchanged for membership fees, uniforms, equipment, camps, events, grading, or other services.

Where applicable, the Annual Membership Fee is due upon enrollment and on each annual renewal date. The Registration Fee is charged once per student and is non-refundable after enrollment has been completed.

Membership Fee Review

Emirates TKD reviews membership fees twice per calendar year to maintain appropriate standards of instruction, facilities, equipment, technology, safety, and member services.

Fees may be adjusted to reflect inflation, venue rental increases, staffing costs, utilities, insurance, equipment, uniforms, regulatory requirements, currency changes, or other operational factors.

Any revised fee will apply prospectively and will not alter fees already paid for the current twenty-eight (28) day Billing Cycle. Members will receive advance notice through email, WhatsApp, the member portal, or another official communication channel. Continued participation after the effective date of revised pricing constitutes acceptance of the updated fee.

General Policies

Students must follow instructor directions, respect classmates, use equipment appropriately, and comply with academy safety and conduct rules. Parents and guardians are responsible for timely attendance, collection, suitable behavior, and accurate registration information.

Disruptive, unsafe, abusive, or persistently inappropriate behavior may result in temporary suspension or termination without refund.

Class schedules, instructors, venues, and group allocations may be adjusted when reasonably necessary. Emirates TKD will provide reasonable notice of significant changes where practicable.

Emirates TKD is not responsible for loss of or damage to personal belongings. Liability for personal injury is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law. Students must follow safety instructions and disclose relevant information that may affect safe participation.

By enrolling, renewing, or continuing participation, the student and parent or guardian acknowledge that they have reviewed and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
