A New Chapter for Dubai Taekwon-Do Academy

Child holding Medal Taekwon-do

When I first founded Dubai Taekwon-Do Academy, many of you trusted me with the growth and development of your children. Together we built a community based on confidence, discipline, and respect — the true spirit of Taekwon-Do. Today, I am proud to begin a new chapter as Emirates Taekwon-Do, now at our brand-new Jumeirah Sports Hall location. This school continues the legacy of our original academy, and we are not connected in any way with the instructor or company that later replaced me.

A Special Invitation for Former Students

As a gesture of gratitude, I am extending an offer exclusively for our former students: • One full year of training, completely free • Safe, structured classes twice a week led with care and dedication • Uniform and exams not included (optional Starter Pack available) This is not a public promotion. It is reserved only for those who were once part of our Taekwon-Do family. It is our way of saying thank you for your loyalty, and of welcoming you back as Founding Members of Emirates Taekwon-Do.

Meet the Instructors

At Emirates Taekwon-Do, your children will be guided by instructors with genuine experience and internationally recognized qualifications. • Navaraj – ITF certified, with over 15 years of teaching children and adults, known for his structured, disciplined yet encouraging approach. • Aaron – ITF certified, with more than 20 years of teaching experience, passionate about developing both technical skills and personal growth in young students. • Ricardo – Founder of Dubai Taekwon-Do Academy, ITF certified, with over 20 years of teaching worldwide and a lifelong dedication to building confidence and discipline through Taekwon-Do. Each of us is a fully certified ITF instructor, with decades of practical teaching experience. This is what sets us apart. Unlike some schools in Dubai that are led by instructors without ITF certification or with little real teaching background, we ensure that every class is taught to the highest international standards of Taekwon-Do. Your children deserve to learn from qualified teachers who not only understand the art, but also know how to nurture young minds in a safe, positive environment.

Frequently Asked Questions

This offer is only for former students of Dubai Taekwon-Do Academy. It is our way of honoring your loyalty and inviting you back to continue your journey with us.

No, the free year covers training only. An optional Starter Pack with uniform and exam fees is available for those who wish to fully participate.

Students will train twice a week at Jumeirah Sports Hall. Class times are structured to provide consistency and balance with school schedules.

No. Emirates Taekwon-Do is a new chapter under the original founder. We have no affiliation with the instructor or company that replaced Dubai Taekwon-Do Academy.

This is not about money. It is about rebuilding our community, celebrating the art of Taekwon-Do, and giving back to those who stood with us before.

At Emirates Taekwon-Do, exams are a genuine educational milestone, not a business opportunity. Students are only invited to grade when they are truly ready — based on skill, attendance, and attitude — in line with the ITF syllabus and standards.

At Emirates Taekwon-Do, the journey to Black Belt is a serious commitment. Under the official ITF system, it takes a minimum of 5 years of consistent training to reach 1st Dan. Students must progress step by step through the gup grades, each requiring time, practice, and demonstrated ability.

Yes. We do not graduate Black Belts before the age of 14, no matter how talented a child may be. This ensures that students have the maturity and discipline to understand the responsibility that comes with holding a Black Belt.

Unfortunately, some schools in Dubai and elsewhere misuse exams as a revenue source. They hold belt tests too frequently, or award Black Belts to children as young as 8 or 9 years old — often without the skill or maturity to deserve it. This practice generates income for the school but damages the credibility of the art.

We follow the true ITF philosophy of quality over quantity. Our exams are earned, not bought. Students are only promoted when they demonstrate technical ability, understanding of the tenets (Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, Indomitable Spirit), and the right attitude. Parents can be assured that a Black Belt from Emirates Taekwon-Do is genuine, respected, and internationally recognized.
